About Army Medicine

The Army Medical Department obtains most medical supplies and services through centralized purchasing.  Visit the following Web sites for information:

DOD wholesale supplier; bulk purchases of medical equipment, medical/surgical supplies and pharmaceuticals for military medical facilities, Veterans Administration facilities and other federal hospitals.

Within the Army, regional purchases of healthcare services, medical equipment and medical/surgical supplies.

Parent organization to the Center for Healthcare Contracting; provides a library of contracting policy and regulations and links to subordinate contracting entities and to DOD contracting resources.

Advisor to small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, minority institutions and other designated business concerns concerning participation in the Army Medical Department's healthcare acquisition programs.

Contracting element for the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command and its worldwide network of laboratories, congressionally directed research programs and other entities.  Publishes Broad Agency Announcements that describe medical research supported by grants and contracts; electronic proposal submission is supported.
