About AMEDD - AMEDD Innovations Since Desert Storm

The National Vaccine Heath Center opened its doors at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, D.C. in September 2001. The center was established to meet a congressional mandate for regional centers of excellence in vaccine safety and clinical immunology. It has expanded to include several active or planned regional centers.
