It also allows this data to be accessed and updated by medical personnel. With the PIC, treatment data can be captured in a deployment situation, regardless of the communications infrastructure or patient evacuation route. The PIC is the size of a military dog tag, with a storage capacity of up to 128 megabytes. It is currently in limited use.
