Battlemind Training (2007)

About AMEDD - AMEDD Innovations Since Desert Storm

In 2007, the Soldier and Family Support Branch (SFSB) was given the mission to develop the Battlemind Training Systems Program, continuing on the R&D conducted by Walter Reed Institute of Research (WRAIR) over the last four years of continuous combat. The Battlemind Training System includes three cycles; deployment cycle, life cycle, and support cycle initiatives.  This innovative concept includes resiliency training for Soldiers, leaders, and Families by incorporating training into formal leadership schools, deployment cycle training, and integration of resiliency training for support populations throughout the military. Battlemind training augments existing Soldier, leader and unit strengths to create a more resilient military community.
