The overarching goal of the Regional Tri-Service Medical Logistics Support Program (RTS MLSP) is to support the Military Health System with logistics processes that will provide the best value products and services at the lowest delivered cost. The primary objective for achieving this goal is to create regional programs that will drive down the costs of medical surgical supplies and services, and promote availability of high quality products in support of best business and clinical practices. The second objective is to increase the use of DoD Prime Vendors as the primary acquisition source for pharmaceutical and medical surgical supplies, other DSCP acquisition strategies, and electronic commerce programs currently available.
